FLOWER CROWN DIY
It's Mother's Day Sunday and I am finally getting a flower crown. They are so cute and girly and I love them but I have never had a good enough excuse to make one! Especially since I have two little boys...
I contemplated using real flowers for like 5 seconds before I decided that was too much work. Thank goodness I did because based on how much manhandling I had to do with these silk flowers from Michaels I would have ruined anything that was even remotely delicate!
- Silk flowers (mine were on sale at Michaels)
- Florist Tape
- Florist Wire
- Hot glue gun
Gather your supplies
Take a length of wire and measure your head. Loosely wrap it upon itself.
Cover entire wire circle in florist tape and grab your basic greens
Attach your basic greens base to the hoop using the florist tape
Trim your flowers into small, more manageable sections
I laid out my flowers before attaching them to hoop using florist tape (for the large flower I punched through the stem using a safety pin and strung through some thin wire to attach it)
I took mine on and off a couple times to make adjustments and rearrange.
I used hot glue with this one to help secure the leaves
