Paternity Leave

We are super lucky to have three months of paid paternity leave through Dave's job at Microsoft. Even better, we can split it into two segments during Duncan's first year. So Dave took a month off when Duncan was born and will likely take the next segment before or after the Christmas holiday. It was so nice having him home and giving us such a big chunk of time to get settled in to this new way of life as a family of five. We also got to share that time with Dave's parents who flew out from Michigan! The big boys got a ton of quality time with their grandparents, and Dave and I got to focus more on Duncan without worrying about Connor and Braden lacking for attention. It was a really precious time for us as a family and I'm sad to see it ending already! Looking forward to Christmas time though ;)
