Braden | 6 Months

I can't believe little B is already 6 months old. Excuse me while I go cry in a corner about how my babies are growing up way to quickly. I should probably take this opportunity to apologize to my mom for always thinking it was weird that she told us we were growing up to fast. Sometimes motherhood just feels like one constant reminder that your mom was right. Whoops!

Braden is the sweetest, friendliest, giggliest, little baby ever. He's so easy going and content, it's wonderful. He had his 6 month checkup today and was just perfect (of course!). We suspect he is teething based on the insane amount of droll he produces every day. He babbles and rolls over and does this breathy-wheezy squeal that is just hilarious. We're adjusting to our new dairy-free lifestyle (well, except for Connor) in light of the sad news that Braden has a dairy allergy. Looks like we'll be making another trip to the allergist with BOTH boys this time around. Womp womp. At least dairy allergies have a much higher chance of decreasing with age so we're crossing our fingers that he'll grow out of it in the next 5-10 years. For now though, I am mourning the loss of cheese and ice cream in my diet (although we have already found some awesome alternatives. Praise the Lord for Trader Joes).

In the last month Connor has really started warming up to B, which has been so sweet to watch. They say that it takes about 6 months to adjust to a new job - so I think Connor has finally adjusted to his new role of big brother. I can sympathize. I am finally starting to feel like I've got my feet under me with juggling both boys on my own during the days. Although I certainly still have my moments of wondering if any other mothers of young babies ever feel like they know what they're doing or if it's just par for the course to constantly feel like you have no idea what's going on!

Check out these 6 month photos I took of B. I am finally starting to feel like I know my way around the camera and our editing software. It's exciting to start getting the results I want, although it's hard for me to see past all the mistakes haha.
