Nana's Ice Cream Pumpkin Pie
I have gotten so many compliments on the pumpkin pie I posted on my instagram stories during Thanksgiving so I wanted to share my favorite pumpkin pie receipt ever. ITS ICE CREAM PIE!
I used pre made pie dough because I was lazy but you can use whatever recipe you want. You bake the pie crust ahead of time and then fill with ice cream and filling. Then you freeze it and that’s it! Super easy.
1 cup pumpkin
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 cup whipping cream
1 pint vanilla ice cream (softened)
Whip cream until it forms still peaks.Add sugar, pumpkin, salt, and spices. Fold into whipped cream. Spoon softened ice cream into pie crust. Spoon pumpkin filling mix on top of ice cream. Freeze for at least 2 hours. Cream cheese frosting garnish around the edge is just basic cream cheese frosting recipe.
