Home Office Makeover for Fathers Day

For Father's Day this year we decided to upgrade Dave's home office! When we started looking for our second home two years ago, something we really wanted was an office space for Dave. We were two children deep in a three bedroom house and there was just no space for an office. Unfortunately Dave's office has mostly been used as a over-sized storage closet. The room was this awful pink taupe and filled with tools and unwanted furniture. So we painted and sold a bunch of old furniture and it honestly is a million times better. I wanted some nice abstract art as well, so I gave the boys some watercolor paper cut into 4"x6" sheets and some black watercolor paint. They honestly turned out pretty awesome. I think limiting them to one single color is the key to make kids art look like real abstract art you'd buy somewhere ;) The desk and bookshelves are from Amazon; the rug and frames are from Target; and the piano is my childhood piano which I adore against the blue accent wall. Glad Dave finally has a nice space to work on his WFH days.
