I turned 30 last month!! I have to say, I didn’t expect to be pregnant on my 30th birthday, but it’s been probably my favorite birthday so far. My family came together and helped us give our Owner’s Suite bathroom a facelift and ate rice krispie cake with us :) My husband took me out to dinner the week before and I got together with some sweet girlfriends at a super fun local restaurant to celebrate as well. I really like 30 ;)
Also if you’re wondering, yes the cake is LITERALLY rice krispies. I have reached a point in my life where trying to bake dairy, egg, and nut-free is too exhausting and I just don’t have the time or the energy to give to fighting cake mix without dairy or egg.
This is simply Rice Krispie treats (with vegan Earth Balance soy butter) shoved into a round cake pan until cooled. Then Pilsbury brand funfetti frosting (contains soy) in a frosting pipe and some sprinkles. It took maybe an hour start to finish including kitchen clean up…it also tasted really good ;)
