Happy Holidays friends and family!!

It’s been a big year for our (now) family of 6!

Archer joined us just over 4 months ago and the boys are loving having another baby brother around. He is so close to rolling over but not so close to sleeping through the night. His favorite activities are being held and laughing at his brothers crazy antics. He is also very good at outgrowing clothes his size (tall like dad??) and did I say he loves being held?

Duncan is enjoying being king of the castle half day three days a week with mom and Archer. He loves eating 4 bowls of oatmeal a day and turning every day objects into projectiles. If mom and dad weren’t such huge soccer fans we’d consider getting him on a baseball team immediately. His favorite phrase these days is “I’m so mad” while laughing or “I have a belly button” while inviting everyone show him their belly button.

Braden is enjoying his first year of half day preschool at a small church down the hill from our home. His teachers think he’s just the sweetest and we agree. He loves playing legos and make believe with his brothers. He also loves building and cooking and is always asking for power tools. Because of his history of ingesting screws though, all of his building projects are still supervised by mom and dad.

Connor started kindergarten this year and adores his teacher. Every day he comes home with new stories to tell, and boy does he loves to tell them. He is growing his hoard of legos every day, to the point where we’re trying to figure out what room we can convert into a lego room just to keep track of it all. He also has developed a new love of singing and coloring. He mostly draws his video game concepts and still wants to grow up to work at Microsoft like dad.

Speaking of dad, David is still at Microsoft on the Xbox team. He has been working on the back-compat and streaming services for the past few years and really enjoying it. When he is home he enjoys being overrun by his children who follow him around like a herd of ducklings. He also has been working on a string of home improvement projects, including a full office remodel (blog post to come!).

Leanna opened the Etsy Shop with a new fun gadget in her arsenal, the glowforge laser cutter, and has been working like crazy to fill holiday orders this year. When she’s not designing/filling orders/cleaning/doing laundry/finishing house projects/chasing small children around, she also volunteers with Connor and Braden’s classrooms and has started a small party blog with some friends.

Our lives these days are very full and we are feeling so blessed. Sending you hugs and wishes for a very happy new year.

With love,

The Retterath Family
