A Very Hogwarts Christmas

I’m so excited to share all the resources for my Hogwarts inspired Christmas decorations! These were all simple DIYs that were a hoot to put together with my kids. Enjoy!

DIY Grand Hall Floating Candles

You’ll need:

• Candles

• Fishing Line

• Invisible Ceiling Hooks

• Thumbtack

• Scissors

• Ladder/step stool

Using your thumbtack, poke holes into the sides of your candle near the top. Thread your invisible string through, loop knot above where the flame will be. Thread the flame/battery apparatus through the candle past the thread. Attach ceiling hooks to ceiling at various points, loop knot the top of your string and hang the candle! Enjoy <3

DIY Hogwarts Acceptance Letters

You’ll need:

• Wax

• Large Glue Gun

• Fishing Line

• Scissors

• Envelope making kit

• Wax Seals

• Watercolor paper

• Tape

• Poster Putty

• Hogwarts Letter PDF

Print your letters on the (cut to size) watercolor paper or other heavy weight paper. Cut out envelope shape. Using your envelope making kit, score the folds of the envelope. With your clear tape, tape the inner parts of the letter together to help it keep its shape. Warm up your large glue gun with red wax. Apply warmed wax to letter and use the wax seal of your choice to seal the letter. Using the poster putty, attach to the fireplace.
